A leading healthcare provider in New York is looking for a Child Life Specialist to facilitate recreational and developmental activities for pediatric patients. You will collaborate with families and medical teams to promote positive relationships and coping skills, ensuring care that respects each family's unique needs. Candidates must possess a Master's degree and certification as a Child Life Specialist, with at least two years of relevant experience.
Overview
Facilitates a variety of group and individual recreational and play activities that promote normalization, development, learning, self-expression, and coping skills for Pediatric residents. Facilitates positive relationships with family members, using knowledge and resources to accommodate each family’s unique cultural needs and values. Responsible for all required documentation, including MDS and CCP.
