The Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) functions within the policies, practices, and program plans of the Department of Nursing at the organization. Under the supervision of the Baird 5 (Inpatient Pediatrics) Nurse Manager, the CCLS is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating Child Life programming for hospitalized children to support their social, emotional, and physical well-being. Additionally, the CCLS oversees pediatric volunteers and orients hospital staff to the psychosocial and developmental needs of children and their families.
