Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Child Life Specialist to support a CICU & ACCU program, focusing on psychosocial development and adjustment for pediatric patients and their families. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver developmental activities across birth to young adulthood.

The role emphasizes coping support during short and long hospitalizations, preparation for procedures, and resource maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in child life.
• 600-hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a certified child life specialist.
• General skills to resolve problems requiring the use of child development theory, professional child life principles, and experienced-based knowledge.
• Well-developed writing skills, and excellent communication skills including conflict resolution to effectively work as a team member.
• Child Life Certification required within 1 year of hire

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
