Job summary

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The RN clinical coordinator is responsible for achieving quality, cost‑effective and patient‑focused outcomes by serving as an advocate and educator for this patient population in accordance with hospital standards, guidelines, applicable statutory requirements and accepted clinical practice. The RN clinical coordinator works closely with oncology practitioners, nurses, social workers, navigators, external labs and providers to provide consistent care coordination within the practice standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• BLS certification required.
• Three (3) years of nursing experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)

• Two (2) years of related oncology experience preferred.
• Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred.
