Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a Child Life Specialist to join the Behavior Safety Team (BST) at the Burnet Campus. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position supporting families during healthcare encounters and collaborating with clinical staff to ensure safety and comfort.

The BST Child Life Specialist pre-plans appointments, provides child life support, collaborates with the Adaptive Care Team, and helps develop programs while guiding peers in behavioral support and crisis response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Completion of a child life internship under the supervision of a certified CLS is required.
• CCLS certification within one year of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-planning for healthcare appointments and procedures.
• Provide direct child life support during healthcare encounters.
• Collaborate with Adaptive Care Team and Outpatient Child Life Specialists; aid program development.
