Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking Registered Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in honing communication, social skills, and self-care. The role is part-time with afternoon/evening shifts, offering growth opportunities toward BCBA and financial assistance for education and training.

You will implement ABA-based plans under a BCBA, observe progress, and collaborate with families. A high school diploma and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

  • Implements individual treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
  • Observes, records, and reports on client progress and behavior daily.
  • Manages challenging behaviors with consistent application of behavioral principles.
  • Assists clients to acquire academic and life skills as needed.
  • Communicates professionally with parents, analysts, trainers, and clients.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data entry in the online database.

Child Interventionist, Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) (9-15 hours per week)

What Do You Bring to the Role?
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.

  • Experience: Prior experience with children is advantageous.
  • Continuous Learning: Interest in ongoing development.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
  • Background: Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.
What Would You Be Doing?
  • Implements individual treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
  • Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
  • Manages challenging behaviors.
  • Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
  • Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
  • Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
  • Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
  • Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information.
  • Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
