Job summary

Butterfly Effects is hiring Child Interventionists/Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in Owens Rhode Island area. You will implement ABA-based plans, observe progress, and collaborate with families to foster communication and life skills.

A part-time schedule from 3pm to 7pm, 12–20 hours weekly, offers meaningful, flexible work with growth potential towards RBT/BCBA paths. Education requirements include a high school diploma, and RBT certification if already held.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification: RBT certification if already obtained.
• Passion for children and positive attitude are essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Experience with children is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
• Observe and report client progress and behavior daily.
• Manage challenging behaviors.
• Apply behavioral principles consistently in interactions.
• Help clients acquire academic or life skills.
• Communicate professionally with parents and team.
• Participate in training and document data accurately.

What Would You Be Doing?

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
