Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking passionate Child Interventionists/Behavior Technicians, and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), to support children with autism in developing communication, social skills, and self-care through ABA-based plans.

This part-time role offers after-school hours (3pm-7pm) and 12–20 hours per week, with opportunities to advance toward RBT status or BCBA guidance, supported by our team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained is preferred.
• Passion for working with children and positive attitude are essential.
• Experience with children is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and grow within ABA methods.

What Do You Bring to the Role?

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.

What Would You Be Doing?

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board‑Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Apply behavioural principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behaviour analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
