Job summary

Macomb County Government seeks a Therapist to deliver home-based therapeutic and case management services to families with children. The role involves conducting screenings, intake assessments, and coordinating services within a person-centered planning approach.

Requires a Master’s degree in a related field and two years of experience with children who have serious emotional disturbance. Licensure as LMSW/LLMSW/LPC/LLPC/TLLP/LP is required; valid Michigan driver’s license and insured vehicle

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or Doctorate in Psychology or a related mental health field
• Two (2) years of clinical experience with children with serious emotional disturbance

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services to families in home and community settings
• Perform crisis intervention and develop treatment plans and case management
• Maintain clinical documentation and administrative records
• Coordinate with other agencies and services to authorize and arrange care
• Supervise interns and participate in program meetings
• Occasional on-call rotation if assigned to Mobile Crisis Unit
