Job summary

Oklahoma State Department of Health is seeking a Part-Time Child Development Specialist I–III ( Temporary ) to provide family-centered early intervention. The role involves assessing child development, coaching families, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team. Work is in Purcell, with a schedule of Monday–Friday and up to 19 hours weekly.

Level I–III require a Master’s degree in related fields and 18 graduate hours for advancement. CCPS certification may be required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in child development, early childhood education, early childhood special education, developmental psychology, or family relations/child development.
  • Master’s degree with 18 graduate/upper level hours in infant/toddler development, parent-child relations, or related areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provides early intervention services in child and family’s natural environment (home, childcare, park).
  • Educates parents and professionals using curricula for child development.
  • Conducts intakes and assessments to recommend services.
  • Collaborates with families to identify goals and intervention plans.
  • Maintains confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
