Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking Child Development Specialists to work with infants, toddlers and families in home-based settings throughout California.

Responsibilities include conducting developmental assessments, following IFSPs, and partnering with families to support developmental goals. We offer flexible schedules and locations, multi-disciplinary therapy services, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred/required in child development, early childhood, teaching or related field OR a special education teaching credential.
• Early Intervention Experience Preferred
• Home-Based Service Delivery Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide child development services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure progress generalization.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (HIPAA/state/federal regulations).
