Job summary

BrightPath Behavior in Pflugerville, TX is hiring a Child Development Specialist / Behavior Technician to deliver one-on-one ABA therapy under BCBA supervision.

You’ll implement therapy plans, track progress, and help children develop communication, social, and self-help skills in a center-based setting. Training is provided, with career growth opportunities and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred depending on role.
• CPR & BLS certifications preferred; training provided.
• RBT certification preferred; training provided.
• Valid driver’s license/state ID and car insurance required.
• Degree in Behavioral Science or related field preferred.
• Fluent in English; bilingual applicants welcome.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy to clients per individualized plans.
• Support BCBAs by implementing behavioral strategies.
• Address problem behaviors and teach functional skills like communication and self-help.
• Collect and submit accurate data on client progress.
• Maintain session records and treatment notes/timesheets.
• Communicate effectively with team about client care.
• Accept feedback and adjust interventions as directed by supervisors.
• Uphold client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Demonstrate understanding of ABA principles and techniques.
• Work toward RBT certification within 90 days of hire (or provide proof).
• Assist in preparing therapy materials and perform related tasks as needed.

Compensation

Child Development Specialist / Behavior Technicians / Non‑Certified Candidates: $15.25 / hour during training until RBT certification is obtained

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs): $21–$25 / hour, based on experience and qualifications

BrightPath Behavior provides paid training and support for non‑certified candidates to earn their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Upon successful certification, employees transition to the RBT pay range.

• Demonstrate understanding of ABA principles and techniques
• Obtain RBT certification within 90 days of hire (or provide proof of completion)
• Assist in preparing therapy materials and other tasks as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR & BLS certification preferred, not required - we’ll train you!

• Valid, current driver’s license or state issued ID & current car insurance on vehicle
• Working towards or has obtained a Degree in Behavioral Science or related field (such as Psychology, Special Education, Elementary Education) preferred
