Job summary

BrightPath Behavior in Austin, TX, seeks a Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver one‑on‑one ABA therapy, under BCBA supervision. You’ll implement plans, track progress, and help children develop essential skills in a supportive, center‑based setting.

Roles offer paid training to obtain RBT certification, with non‑certified pay during training and RBT pay thereafter. Flexible schedules, PTO, and growth opportunities await in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR & BLS certification preferred, not required – we’ll train you!
• RBT certification preferred, not required – we'll train you!
• Valid, current driver’s license or state issued ID & current car insurance on vehicle
• Working towards or has obtained a Degree in Behavioral Science or related field
• This role requires verbal and written fluency in English. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply and share any additional languages they speak fluently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one ABA therapy to clients based on individualized treatment plans
• Support BCBAs by implementing behavioral interventions and skill‑building strategies
• Address problem behaviors and teach functional skills (e.g., communication, social, self‑help)
• Collect and submit accurate data on client progress
• Maintain thorough session records, including treatment notes and timesheets
• Communicate effectively with team members about client care
• Accept feedback and adjust interventions as directed by supervisors
• Always uphold client confidentiality and privacy
• Demonstrate understanding of ABA principles and techniquesObtain RBT certification within 90 days of hire (or provide proof of completion)
• Assist in preparing therapy materials and other tasks as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you’ll implement therapy plans, track progress, and adjust strategies to meet each client’s unique needs.

Compensation:

Behavior Technicians / Non‑Certified Candidates: $15.25 / hour during training until RBT certification is obtained

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs): $21–$25 / hour, based on experience and qualifications

BrightPath Behavior provides paid training and support for non‑certified candidates to earn their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Upon successful certification, employees transition to the RBT pay range.
