Job summary

Eliada Homes, Inc. seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of its child development facilities. The role requires independent work to keep classrooms and common areas in proper order for daily operations.

Responsibilities include regular cleaning, scheduling, and assisting with other program projects while upholding safety and quality standards. Must have a valid NC driver license and be able to meet physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Three years of cleaning/sanitation experience preferred.
• Valid NC driver license is required.
• Candidates should be able to sit, walk, and stand for up to 8 hours in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize Eliada’s child development program buildings regularly.
• Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum and ensure areas are ready for operations.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules; work autonomously.
• Enter work orders for repairs as needed.
• Assist staff with other projects as needed.
• Participate in CQI to ensure quality client services.
• Display cultural sensitivity and maintain equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

The Housekeeper will be responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of Eliada’s child development facilities.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Cleans and sanitizes Eliada’s child development program buildings regularly.

2. Responsible for sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and other methods of cleaning. Ensures that all areas are in proper order for operations to continue.

3. Maintains a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule of cleaning tasks. Works autonomously to ensure that the program and classroom cleanliness is maintained.

4. Enters work orders as needed to ensure that repairs are completed.

5. Assists child development departments staff with other projects as needed.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the provision of quality services to clients through participation in the agency’s CQI process.

2. Display competence & responsiveness to cultural differences present in both customer & employee populations.

3. Maintain and service all equipment.

4. Other duties as assigned.

Position reports to: Director of Child Development

Requirements

Experience: Three years of experience are highly preferred. Experience with cleaning and/or sanitation in a child development setting preferred. Possession of a valid NC driver license is required.

Skills/physical/working conditions: Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by Eliada's insurance carriers. Must be able to sit, walk, and stand for up to 8 hours indoor and outdoor with varying weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
