Job summary

Eliada Homes is seeking a Grounds Maintenance/Facilities support role responsible for mowing, trimming hedges, trash collection, and seasonal upkeep across the campus. The position reports to the Facilities Director and requires a high school diploma or GED, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and possess a valid North Carolina driver's license.

Ideal candidates have prior grounds maintenance experience and are willing to perform winter de-icing and routine equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Mowing and grounds upkeep experience preferred.
• Need valid NC driver’s license and insurability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns and maintain grounds daily.
• Keep limbs and trash picked up; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prune and trim hedges.
• Daily trash collection across Eliada’s programs.
• Ensure roads and walks are scraped and de-iced in winter.
• Maintain cleanliness of gutters.
• Maintain and service all equipment.
• Mulch flowerbeds as needed.
• Maintain all fence lines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Facilities Director.

Job description

Works under the supervision of the Facilities Director. Responsible for the maintenance of the grounds, sanitation, and trash collection of Eliada Homes, Inc.

Major Responsibilities

• Responsible for the mowing of lawns and the general upkeep of the grounds.
• Responsible to keep limbs, trash, etc. picked up on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Keep hedges pruned and trimmed.
• Daily trash collection across Eliada's programs.
• Responsible to see that roads and walks are scraped and de-iced during winter.

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of gutters.
• Maintain and service all equipment.
• Mulch flowerbeds as needed.
• Maintain all fence lines.
• Other jobs as assigned by Facilities Director

Requirements

Position reports to: Facilities Director

Knowledge: Minimum high school diploma or GED.

Experience: Some experience in maintenance of grounds and/or sanitation preferred.

Skills/Physical/Working Conditions: Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license and be insurable by Eliada insurance carriers. The position may require frequent local travel and hazards can be many due to type of work being done on campus. The position requires employee to be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
