Job Summary

  • Attends to children ages 16 months-3 years old at our childcare institution (will be specialized into working with pre-school, K-5th, or 6th-8th grade students).
General Accountabilities

  • Assists the classroom teacher in creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
  • Reads to children and teaches them painting, drawing, crafts, and songs.
  • Maintains a safe play environment.
  • Observes and monitors children’s play activities.
  • Disciplines children and recommends or initiates measures to control behavior, such as caring for their own clothing and picking up toys and books.
  • Communicates with children’s parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
  • Sanitizes toys and play equipment.
  • Performs general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and making phone calls.
  • Organizes and participates in recreational activities and outings, such as field trips.

Job Qualifications
