The Salvation Army Oakbrook Terrace Corps is seeking a Child Care Worker to supervise and develop care for children from infants to elementary age. The role reports to the Youth Development Director and emphasizes safety, engagement of families, and program planning.
Requirements include completion of the 9th grade and being at least 15 years old; Spanish language skills are preferred. The position may involve light to moderate physical work in a nursery and classroom setting.

Develop age-appropriate programs and care for infants through elementary-aged children.
Under general supervision of the Youth Development Director with minimal freedom to plan, schedule and carry out responsibilities within established policies and procedures.
This individual relates to, and interacts with, a wide range of contacts both within and
outside The Salvation Army. In these contacts, they act as a representative of the Army and its mission.
This individual will be evaluated on how effectively the outcomes of this position are achieved, as well as the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of accomplishing assigned goals.
A 30, 60, and 90-day performance review will be conducted.
