Job summary

La Petite Academy in Concord, NC is seeking a Team Lead to advance the social, physical, and cognitive development of children in a welcoming classroom. You will lead lesson delivery, manage the classroom, and model best practices for fellow staff.

You will mentor new hires, coordinate with families for child progress, and, in absence, cover Director/Assistant Director duties while ensuring compliance with licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a CDA preferred.
• Ability to meet state/accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children; lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to support center success.
• Mentor and train new hires and fellow teachers, creating engaging learning experiences.
• Take on Director/Assistant Director duties in absence, including opening and closing the center.
• Ensure daily care of children following licensing guidelines and company standards.
