Job description

Part-time positions are available with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
  2. Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
  3. Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
  4. Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or in nearby locations
Qualifications:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet minimum education and experience requirements:

  • 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
  • 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required
  • Must meet state requirements to be Teacher Qualified in IL: either 60 semester hours from an accredited college with relevant courses, or 1 year of child development experience plus 30 semester hours, or completion of a CDA credential program.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires compliance with all applicable health, safety, and immunization requirements. You will work in person at an early education center, providing supervision, care, and curriculum delivery in accordance with policies and regulations to ensure children's safety.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $18.50 and $22.60. Actual offers depend on experience, education, certifications, location, and other factors.
