Job summary

Bright Horizons in New York is seeking a Child Care Teacher to grow your teaching career in a warm, child-centered environment. Full-time positions are available in our Preschool program, with opportunities to learn from early education experts and pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost.

You will create hands-on activities, communicate with families about milestones, and maintain a safe classroom. Required: HS diploma or GED, 90 credits toward a BA in ECE, NYS Teaching Certification or plan

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 90 credits toward bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
• NYS Teaching Certification or study plan eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
• At least 90 credits toward bachelor’s degree in early childhood education is required
• NYS Teaching Certification (B-2, N-6, 1-6, Special Education) or study plan eligibility is preferred
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
• Per NYU Langone, Flu Vaccine by October 15th is required

Physical Requirements

This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons’, and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. If hired, you will work in person in an early education/preschool child care center to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery and services per Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures and guidance, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations, and in a manner that will ensure the safety of children in Bright Horizons care and the employee.

Hourly Rate and Other Compensation Disclosures

The hourly rate for this position is between $23.00 – $28.10 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

This position is also eligible for hiring incentive of $1,500 payable after 100 days of employment.
