Responsibilities:

  1. Create hands-on activities tailored to the needs and interests of children
  2. Maintain open communication with parents about their child's milestones
  3. Ensure a safe, clean classroom following essential procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:

Candidates must pass required background checks and meet minimum education and experience requirements:

  • 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED
  • Preferably, 1 year of professional experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) for children

Must meet state requirements to be Teacher Qualified in Illinois:

  • 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) from an accredited college with 6 semester or 9 quarter hours in child care/development courses from birth to age 6,
    OR
  • 1 year (1560 hours) of child development experience plus 30 semester/45 quarter hours in related courses,
    OR
  • Completion of approved credential programs such as CDA.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including immunizations and background checks. You will work in person at our early education center, providing supervision, care, and curriculum delivery, ensuring children's safety in accordance with policies and laws. Compensation:

The hourly rate ranges from $19.75 to $24.10, depending on experience, education, certifications, location, and other factors. This range reflects our good faith estimate of the offer for this position.
