As a Child Care teaching assistant at MercyOne, you will a ssist the teacher in the care of children ranging in age from 6 weeks - 9 years . Programs are designed around the developmental needs of children .
Customers include children, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and visitors
Early childhood education, training or experience preferred. Full time staff require ten contact hours of training their first year and six hours every year after the initial year. Part time staff require five contact hours of training their first year and four hours per year after the initial year.
(Contact hours of training may be from one or more of the following topical areas: Child development, guidance and discipline, developmentally appropriate practices, nutrition, health and safety, communication skills, professionalism, business practices, and cross-cultural competence.)
