Responsibilities:

  1. Create hands-on activities tailored to children's needs and interests.
  2. Maintain open communication with parents about their child's milestones.
  3. Ensure a safe, clean classroom following essential procedures and guidelines.
  4. Support teaching across various classrooms or age groups as needed.

Qualifications:

Candidates must pass all required background checks and meet minimum education and experience requirements:

  • 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings.
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) is required.
  • Must meet state requirements to be Teacher Qualified in IL, which includes either:
    • 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of college credits, including courses in child care/development, or
    • 1 year of child development experience plus 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) in related courses, or
    • Completion of CDA credential programs approved by the Department.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires compliance with all health and safety regulations, including immunizations and physical assessments. The role involves working onsite in an early education setting, providing supervision, care, and curriculum delivery, ensuring children's safety in accordance with policies and laws. Compensation:

The hourly rate ranges from $18.50 to $22.60, depending on experience, education, and other factors.
