Bayview Soar Autism Center is seeking a Child Care Specialist to support children aged 2-6 in a clinic setting. You will work with behavior analysts, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to implement plans and deliver high-quality care. No prior certification required; paid training will be provided and advancement opportunities exist.

The role is entry-level and offers a competitive hourly wage with bonuses, and a minimum of 30 hours per week for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Computer and tablet literacy is essential.
• Must be able to obtain RBT certification within 6 weeks (training provided).

As a Child Care Specialist,you'll have the remarkable chance to contribute directly to the growth of young childrendiagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role works in collaboration with a team of experts, including Board-Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech Therapists, and Occupational Therapists. It is anentry-level roleanddoes not require prior certification;we provide complete training for this position.

Responsibilities

• Offer one-on-one support to children aged 2-6 in a clinic environment, guided by science-backed, naturalistic therapeutic methods
• Implement intervention plans crafted by expert clinicians in behavior analysis, speech, and occupational therapy
• Team up with the child's healthcare professionals to provide consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification)
• Previous experience with children aged 2-6, ideally in a professional capacity
• Ability to achieve and maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within first 6 weeks of employment (Soar will provide paid training)
• Note: RBT certification required for CO Springs location
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Computer and tablet literacy
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client
• Preference for college graduates or people pursuing a college degree

• $21.50 - $28.50/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 - $22.75. All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion
