About you

The Child Care Specialist is an inside sales representative with a strong background in the childcare industry to present our Book Blast program. The Child Care Specialist will have a passion for books and improving childhood literacy rates. Book Blast is a literacy-based event that guarantees to put new, age-appropriate books, into the hands of every student at no cost to the school.

Requirements:What you’ll do

General responsibilities will include:

Sales and Business Development:

- Conduct virtual presentations to Childcare centers to introduce and sell the Book Blast program.

- Achieve quarterly sales goals by booking Childcare centers and expanding relationships with current clients.

- Achieve 40% conversion rate on attended presentations.

Event Management:

- Serve as the single point of contact for Childcare centers from booking through event completion.

- Manage all event logistics, ensuring Childcare centers have the resources and support they need.

- Post event debrief meeting to gather feedback for future improvement.

Customer Relationship Management:

- Cultivate long-term relationships with Childcare centers, focusing on renewals and referrals.

- Manage renewals and upsell additional services or products where applicable.

- Encourage and facilitate client referrals to other Childcare centers.

Reporting and CRM Use:

- Maintain accurate records in the CRM (HubSpot), tracking sales activities and client interactions.

- Regularly report sales and event outcomes to the Vice President of Sales.

Essential qualifications:

- Strong background in sales, account management, or customer success with a demonstrated ability to close new business.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

- Experience in managing the full sales and customer lifecycle.

- Familiarity with CRM software, especially HubSpot.

- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple events simultaneously.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- This is a remote position.

- Flexibility regarding work schedule – willingness to work as necessary to meet project deadlines.
