The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's Division of Environmental Health aims to prevent and control illnesses related to environmental and occupational health risks through outreach, education, surveillance, and enforcement. With a staff of 1,000, the division covers areas such as environmental investigations, lead poisoning, injury prevention, occupational health, food safety, child care, radiation control, water quality, air quality, climate health, vector control, veterinary public health, and pest control. The Bureau of Child Care ensures compliance with health codes and regulations, monitors child care programs for safety, and works to improve access to quality early childhood programs.
The Bureau seeks to hire a Child Care Registrar for licensing activities. Key responsibilities include:

Minimum qualifications:
Residency in NYC is generally required within 90 days of appointment, with some exceptions.
Salary ranges from $43,143 to $49,615 annually. The position is classified as entry level, full-time, in the health care provider industry.
