Assists in the planning and implementing of scheduled period(s) of activities, which are developmentally appropriate and ensures the safety and well being of the children as well as providing a model of quality.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*** Prepares and Implements a program of activities in accordance with agency curriculum for a group of children. Prepares lesson plans.* Maintains attendance records for a designated group of children and Adheres to regular work and activity schedules. Assists in food preparation and distribution.* Establishes and Maintains control and safety of an assigned group of children. Assures the orderliness and cleanliness of designated work area(s).* Serves as an effective role model for the children by Assisting children in a way that develops the child’s role and initiative and Interacts in ways that help them learn.* Maintains a positive and professional attitude with parents, children and staff at all times. Participates in parent contact and communication as assigned.
