Job description

Full-time positions are available with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
  2. Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
  3. Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:

Candidates must pass required background checks and meet minimum education and experience requirements:

  1. 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
  2. 1 year of professional experience in child care, daycare, or preschool preferred
  3. CDA, Associate, or bachelor's degree in early education or related field preferred
  4. Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) required
  5. Must meet state requirements to be Teacher Qualified in IL, which include either:
  • 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) in courses related to child care or development from an accredited college, OR
  • 1 year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience plus 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) in related courses, OR
  • Completion of CDA credential program approved by the Department

Physical Requirements:

This position requires compliance with all applicable health and safety requirements, including immunizations and employment physicals. You will work in person at an early education center, providing supervision, care, and curriculum delivery to ensure children's safety and well-being.

Compensation:

The hourly rate is between $18.50 and $22.60. Actual offers depend on experience, education, certifications, location, and other factors.
