Job summary

BrightPath Kids in South Windsor, CT, part of the Busy Bees global childcare community, is seeking dedicated staff for a full-time classroom role. You will supervise children aged 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC standards.

You will collaborate with families to create plans that support each child’s learning and growth, while maintaining a warm, safe environment and clear communication with guardians.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in early childhood education or related field.
• CDA credential or Head Teacher certification is preferred.
• Minimum coursework: 12 credits in Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years in one classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, clean, safe environment for growth and exploration.
• Partner with families to plan for child care and education needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR Head Teacher certification OR 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses OR Bachelor's Degree required
• 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized
• Ability to work within regular operating hours
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment
