Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Oxford, CT is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Early Childhood Teacher to supervise a single classroom, ensure safety, and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC standards. You will partner with families to plan the best care and education, communicate with parents, and contribute to a warm, safe environment that supports children's growth.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field or CDA credential, or Head Teacher certification, or 12 credits in ECE.
• 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (required)

Associate Degree in ECE/related field

CDA credential

Head Teacher certification

12 ECE credits

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR Head Teacher certification OR 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses OR Bachelor's Degree required
