Job summary

BrightPath Kids Porter Center is seeking a Lead Teacher for a full-time position with no evenings or weekends. Join BrightPath Kids and Busy Bees, a global childcare community, offering competitive pay and benefits including a childcare discount.

You will work with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children 6 weeks through 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines and creating engaging learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher in ECE or CDA credential.
• 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours and meet state criteria.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years in one assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
