Job summary

BrightPath Kids at the Madisonville Center in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Lead Teacher to work with teachers and families to create a home away from home for children in our care, following NAEYC guidelines.

Responsibilities include supervising children 4+ in one classroom, designing developmentally appropriate curricula, planning activities based on interests, and partnering with families to support each child’s learning. Excellent communication with parents is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education/related field, or CDA credential, or Career Pathway Level 3.
• 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 4 years+ in one assigned classroom.
• Creating developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curating programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partnering with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

Education

Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field

CDA credential

Career Pathway Level 3

Bachelor's Degree in any field

1 year experience in licensed child care

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR Career Pathway Level 3 required OR Bachelor's Degree in any field
