La Petite Academy is looking for a Food Specialist to oversee meal preparation for our enrolled children. The role requires creating home-style, nutritious meals aligned with the school menu, budget, and state/federal regulations, and supporting staff in classrooms.

You will follow the Director’s daily menu, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed, contributing to a safe, healthy, and engaging childcare environment.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility with hours and schedule of work.

Responsabilités

• At home in the kitchen! Create home-style, nutritious meal plans within the school’s menu and budget, and state/federal requirements. Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff and distribute food to classrooms.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director which incorporates USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
