Job summary

Crème de la Crème, Inc. is seeking a center staff member to support daily kitchen operations and classroom needs in Leawood, KS. The role involves safe food handling, meal prep, and documentation aligned with state licensing requirements.

You will work closely with teachers and center leadership to ensure smooth operations, maintain hygienic food practices, and support enrollment and engagement initiatives as part of a collaborative school environment.

Qualifications

• Love for children and desire to make a difference daily.
• Familiarity with safe food storage and cross-contamination avoidance.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and portion foods for center population.
• Basic math skills for measuring and portions.
• Possess a Food Handler’s License or willingness to obtain.
• At least one year of institutional cooking experience; food-ordering experience a plus.
• Two+ years working with children is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medication, as requested.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation according to licensing requirements.
• Support center staff and leadership to drive enrollment and engagement.
