Job summary

Hire Up Recruiting is seeking an experienced Director to lead a well-established, accredited early childhood education school in Minnetonka. This role oversees daily operations, educational excellence, and financial performance, partnering with an experienced admin team and serving as the face of the school for families, staff, and the community.

The ideal candidate will inspire and develop a 30-person team, drive enrollment growth, ensure licensing compliance, maintain high-quality programs,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or qualifying education coursework as permitted by state licensing requirements).
  • Proven leadership experience in a licensed early childhood education center.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 30 teachers and administrative staff.
  • Foster a positive culture focused on teacher retention, professional growth, and excellence.
  • Drive enrollment growth by converting inquiries into enrollments through exceptional tours and relationship-building.
  • Build lasting relationships with families while delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain high-quality educational programming and classroom excellence.
  • Monitor labor, controllable expenses, and operational performance to achieve financial goals.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director and Education Coach to ensure smooth daily operations and educational quality.
  • Partner with regional leadership to execute strategic initiatives and achieve school goals.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director and Education Coach to ensure smooth daily operations, staff development, and educational quality.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a confident, business-minded leader who understands that exceptional schools require both educational excellence and strong operational leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or qualifying education coursework as permitted by state licensing requirements).

  • Minimum of 2 years of successful leadership experience in a licensed early childhood education center.

  • Experience managing teams of 20 or more employees.

  • Experience leading a school or center serving approximately 120 or more enrolled children.

  • Previous classroom teaching experience strongly preferred.
