BrightPath Kids in CT is seeking a passionate Center Director to lead daily operations, staff development, and family partnerships in a busy childcare center. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, 5+ years in child care or teaching, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field required.
• 5+ years of child care or teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to supervise others.
• Must function independently within the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with children and families.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
• Must meet state criteria and NAEYC standards for Center Director approval.

Responsibilities

• Oversee center operations including staff recruitment and development.
• Manage policies, safety, hygiene, and licensing.
• Ensure classroom objectives and expectations are understood.
• Handle payroll, AP/AR, and general communications.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations in the building.
• Coordinate and deliver staff training.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities

• Managing the overall operation of the center including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and state licensing.
• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Managing administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understanding and enforcing all state regulations within the building.
• Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field required
