Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking caring and energetic Child Care Attendants to help create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children at our client site. You’ll engage kids in age-appropriate activities, encourage positive interactions, and help ensure every child enjoys a great experience while in our care.

Part-time hours are approximately 4-6 hours per week, with flexible substitute/fill-in opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification within 45 days of hire (American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute).
• Knowledge and experience with young children is strongly preferred.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly and accurately.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Greeting each parent, interacting with parents, and following up the needs of the child.
• Planning activities for the children and assisting with age-appropriate games and tasks.
• Observe and play with children.
• Ensure that the children are safe and engaged in developmental activities.
• Participate in child’s activities: reading, painting, crafts, play.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

In this role, you'll engage kids in age-appropriate activities, encourage positive interactions, and help ensure every child enjoys a great experience while in our care.

Substitute/fill-in hours are more flexible- Hours will vary based on program demand and scheduling needs.

Responsible for safe and fun play with children who are in the facility.

Key Accountabilities

• Observe and play with children.
• Ensuring that the children in their care are safe and engaged in developmental activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Child/Infant CPR/AED/first aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 45 days of hire.
• Knowledge and experience with young children is strongly preferred.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Ability to multi-task as well as work quickly and accurately.
• Computer proficiency including at minimum Microsoft Word and Outlook.

The compensation range for this role is $11.00/hr - $15.00/hr. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
