BrightPath Kids is seeking a Teacher Assistant to work alongside teachers and families, providing a warm, safe “home away from home” for children in our care. Roles follow NAEYC guidelines and focus on supporting instruction and child development.

The position emphasizes safety, hands-on classroom support, and clear communication with parents. Paid training is provided; no evenings or weekends are required, and benefits include childcare discounts and a full support system.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent recognized by state.
• Minimum six months’ work experience (including 500 hours) with children birth through second grade in group settings.
• Meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, clean environment for children to grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child.
