Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Strongsville, OH is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support teachers and families, providing a warm, safe learning environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, in line with NAEYC guidelines. You will assist with classroom activities, decorate spaces, communicate with parents, and help maintain a clean, engaging setting during afternoon shifts (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM).

No evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and enables growth and exploration.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.

As an Assistant Teacher, you will work side‑by‑side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:
