Job summary

The YMCA is seeking a dedicated youth program assistant to support safe and engaging activities for children and families in the Keene area.

Responsibilities include supervision, curriculum support, and maintaining a positive, inclusive environment that reflects YMCA values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Qualifications

• Meets educational and experience qualifications established by childcare licensing.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
• Health form completed within 30 days of hire date.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.

• Builds personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests.
• Helps with implementing curriculum within the established guidelines.
• You must be dependable and build consistency and stability in the classroom for the children in your care.
• Helps with supervising the children, classroom, and activities at all times.
• Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
• Maintains program site and equipment.
• Helps with keeping required program records.
• Attends and takes part in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training (18 hours per year)
• Fulfills any functions appointed by the YMCA administration.

Salary Information

$12.57 - $18.85Hourly Wage
