Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Twinsburg, OH is seeking an Assistant Teacher to work with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children aged 6 weeks through 12 years, in line with NAEYC guidelines. You will assist instruction, help decorate rooms, and maintain a warm, safe environment that supports growth and exploration.

You will contribute to a supportive team, engage children in meaningful activities, and communicate with families to ensure a nurturing learning experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children aged 6 weeks–12 years.
• Assist teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe environment that is clean and conducive to growth.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

As an Assistant Teacher, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
