Join Our Team as a Child Care Assistant!

Join the Bennington Public Schools Foundation's All Star Kids Before & After School Program as a Child Care Assistant, where you'll assist with supervising children, setting up activities, and maintaining a safe environment. This flexible position offers hands-on experience in childcare, leadership, and teamwork in a supportive school setting. Perfect part-time position for high school students ages 16+ looking to work with children!

Pay: $15.00/hr

School Year Hours M-F:

  • Morning Shift: 6:15am-8:15am

  • Afternoon Shift: 2:45pm-6:00pm

Summer Hours M-F: Flexible up to 8 hr shift 6:30am-6pm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the supervision and engagement of children in daily activities.
  • Set up and clean up for snacks and program activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment in compliance with program guidelines.
  • Follow emergency procedures and respond promptly to incidents.
  • Communicate openly and respectfully with staff, parents, and children.
  • Actively participate in activities, providing positive guidance and care for children.
Qualifications:
  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work in Bennington, NE
  • Must pass background checks, including the Nebraska Child Abuse & Neglect and Adult Abuse registries.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and occasionally climb, stoop, and kneel.
