The Early Learning Centers of Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows are seeking Apprentice Teachers funded by the NV workforce grant. Shifts from 9am–3pm or 10am–4pm, 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with rotation through classrooms serving 6 weeks to 5-year-olds.

No experience required; preference for child development coursework and commitment to early childhood careers. Participants receive 100% employer-paid medical, vision and dental, plus disability and life insurance, a 7% pension plan,

Qualifikationen

• Must be 24 years or younger per state grant.
• Commit to 30 hours per week with 9am–3pm or 10am–4pm, Monday–Friday.
• Provide 3 professional references; non-family over 18 accepted.
• Willing to undergo drug screen, background check and fingerprinting.

The Early Learning Centers of Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows are excited to offer an employment opportunity funded by the state of NV:Apprentice Teacherships.Because this program is funded by a state-funded workforce development grant, the state does require that participants be 24 years of age or younger.In these positions, you’ll have the opportunity to move from class to class, supporting children and teachers alike, as you develop into an early childhood educator in a workplace inspired by GREAT values-Generosity, Respect, Encouragement, Accountability, and Trustworthiness-places where every child feels safe and connected and where you can be sure you’re making a difference.This opportunity requires participants to work 30 hours a week, with shifts from 9am to 3pm or 10am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, as well as to commit to completing early childhood professional development and workforce development outside of your scheduled 30 hours.Our students range from 6 weeks to 5 years and are generally grouped into six age-based classes, but participants will rotate through classrooms.You’ll get support from a full and engaged admin team, including directors that don’t hesitate to roll up their sleeves and change a diaper or to address incidents and behavior with parents.Applicants with a desire to commit themselves to early childhood as a career or who have taken child development courses in high school will receive preference, but no experience is required.This program offers extensive additional benefits:We offer participants discounted child care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years and free child care for school-aged children through Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.We offer all participants tuition reimbursement and employee wellness services.We offer all participants 100% employer-paid medical, vision, and dental plans. All participants also receive complimentary Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance coverage.Participants are also eligible for a 7% pension plan.Pay ranges from $15 to $16.These are some of the additional things you will do as an Apprentice Teacher with our early learning centers:Care for children, including diapering, toilet training, feeding, and cleaning.Supervise or instruct groups of up to 13 children, depending on age, independently.Maintain the safety of our children and staff, and ensure an optimal experience for all.We have great directors and a program quality team that can teach you skills on the job, but there are some actions and goals that will make you more successful in this program.You know that quality early childcare is necessary for a strong community and are dedicated to early childhood education.You want to experience new challenges every day.You believe that uniqueness should be celebrated and support including all persons, regardless of background or beliefs.You respect your team and communicate when you are experiencing difficulty meeting responsibilities.As part of our commitment to child and member safety, there are some additional steps that all participants will be asked to complete.You will need to provide 3 references.
