Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. in Saxonburg, PA, is hiring a Part-Time Child Care Aide to support daily routines and activities for children under supervision, under the guidance of the Supervisor, Children’s Services.

A High School Diploma/GED with one of the following is required: CDA credential; 30 credits in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or related fields; 15 credits with 1250 hours of relevant work; or 2500 hours of related work experience. Multi-tasking and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CDA credential or college credits in Early Childhood Education or related field accepted.
• Alternative: 1250 hours of work experience in child care in lieu of some college credits.
• 2500 hours of work experience in child care also acceptable.
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment.

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of Supervisor, Children’s Services, ensures the needs of the children are met and assists in the implementation and direction of daily routines and activities.

This position works a part-time schedule of 9:15am to 2:45pm Monday - Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED and one of the following:
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
• 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Eucation, Elementary Education, or Human Services field.
• 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field and 1250 hours of work experience related to the care and development of children.
• 2500 hours of work experience related to the care and development of children.
• Able to multi-task and work in a team environment.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
