Job summary

Armed Services YMCA National Headquarters is seeking staff to supervise children ages 6 months to 12 years who accompany family members to medical appointments at WBAMC or Hugo V. Mendoza Family Care Center. The position is part-time/backfill, with hours Monday through Friday, 8am–12pm at WBAMC and 1pm–4:30pm at Mendoza.

Qualifications

• Work experience with children.
• An understanding of military family challenges.
• Experience preparing and developing age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of activities for infants to 12 years old.
• Interact with children; provide a nurturing environment.
• Follow all reporting policies and CWR policies; ensure policies are followed.
• Open and close the center; maintain a safe, clean child-watch area.
• Maintain registrations, waivers, and sign-in/out records; keep files secure.
