Armed Services YMCA National Headquarters in Clarksville is seeking a caregiver to supervise children aged 6 months to 12 years while family attends medical appointments at the Steven A Cohen Military Clinic. The role emphasizes a nurturing environment, safety, and adherence to registration and reporting procedures.

You will handle daily check-in/out, maintain records, and coordinate activities, with attention to confidentiality, punctual attendance, and participation in mandatory trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be customer service‑oriented.
• Good phone and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of military family issues.
• Experience preparing age‑appropriate activities.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• First Aid/CPR training within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Online training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and a variety of activities for children aged 6 months to 12 years.
• Interact with children and create a nurturing environment.
• Follow all child abuse reporting procedures.
• Register and maintain child records, including immunization records.
• Accurately log attendance and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings; prioritize multiple tasks.
• Open/close the child watch area; organize and sanitize toys and materials.
• Report unsafe conditions and request supplies as needed.
• May work at events outside normal hours, including some weekends/evenings.
