Qualifications

• No prior childcare experience required, but highly preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Excellent communication with children and parents is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children in accordance with facility policies and safety guidelines.

The Child Care Worker is responsible for providing a safe, caring, and engaging environment for children at Logos Edge Activity Center. This role requires the ability to supervise children of various ages, maintain a positive and structured environment, and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care. The Child Care Worker will help create a welcoming experience for children and families while supporting the overall operations of the childcare program.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children in accordance with facility policies and safety guidelines.
• Provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children.
• Monitor children during play, activities, and transitions.
• Assist children with age-appropriate activities and games.
• Maintain appropriate supervision and ensure children remain safe while in care.
• Communicate positively and professionally with parents, children, and fellow staff members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary childcare environment.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing toys, equipment, and childcare areas as needed.
• Help children follow facility rules and appropriate behavior expectations.
• Respond appropriately to minor injuries, incidents, or behavioral concerns while following proper safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Support Parents Night Out, camps, special events, and other childcare activities as assigned.
• Assist with other duties related to the childcare program as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• No prior childcare experience required, but highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children and parents.
• Patient, dependable, and comfortable working with children of various ages.
• Ability to maintain a safe, organized, and engaging environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
• Daytime and evening availability required.
• Must be willing to complete any required background checks or facility training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare, daycare, teaching, babysitting, or a related field.
• Experience working with children of different ages and developmental levels.
• Basic knowledge of child safety and appropriate supervision practices.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Active work environment within a childcare and gymnastics facility.
• Frequent interaction with children, parents, and staff members.
• Ability to actively supervise and engage with children for extended periods.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, sit on the floor, and move around the childcare area throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry children or equipment as needed.
• Must be able to respond quickly to ensure the safety of children.

Compensation

• $10 per hour for the Child Care position.
• $12 per hour when working both Child Care and Front Desk positions.
• Opportunities for additional responsibilities and advancement may be available based on performance and availability.
