Job summary

FosterAdoptConnect in Leavenworth, KS seeks a Behavioral Interventionist for afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The BI will work one-on-one with children facing behavioral health challenges, implementing individualized plans and trauma-informed activities to promote emotional regulation and independence.

The role requires a 21+ age, high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and reliable transportation for client home visits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• Experience with elevated behavioral needs preferred.
• Willing and able to perform safety holds on clients at immediate risk for harming themselves or others, following paid training.
• Must be able to navigate stairs, climb, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must have smartphone and laptop willing to use for work purposes.
• Willing to commute up to 30 miles to a client’s home.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR and CPICertifications

• Support and adhere to the family’s routine and structures while modeling and offering supportive behavioral strategies.

About The Behavioral Interventionist Program

Behavioral Interventionists work one-on-one with children facing mental and behavioral health challenges, often with histories of trauma, abuse, or neglect. Thesechildren and teensmay experience behavioral or relationship difficulties that impact placement stability. Using trauma-informed approaches, staff support daily living skills, emotional regulation, healthy relationshipsthroughengaging activities

WhatYou’llBe Doing

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly range $21.65-$24/hour,commensuratewith degree(s) and experience
