Job summary

Intercept Health seeks an entry-level child behavior specialist to support and implement individualized plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. You will help reduce unsafe behaviors while promoting communication and social skills for children and young adults.

Responsibilities include observing client skills, collecting data, and developing program goals. Work occurs in our Virginia center with a focus on language, behavior, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma and experience with children.
• Must possess a current registered behavior technician credential or complete a 40-hour class within 6 months.
• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science preferred; ABA experience with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Afternoon availability until 6 P.M.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement individualized plans to decrease unsafe behaviors and increase communication and social skills.
• Observe client skills and collect data to inform assessments and goals.
• Work with children, adolescents and young adults with autism or developmental disabilities to promote language, behavior, social and daily living skills.
