Job description

About the position:

This is a RFT position with guaranteed 35 hours, located at the Pershing/Madison CDC.

The position may require the incumbent to transport children in a government vehicle.

Duties

Responsibilities include providing child care services, ensuring safety and well-being of children, and adhering to all relevant policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, including a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
• Consent to and passing pre-employment and random drug testing, as this position is a Test Designated Position (TDP).
• Ability to complete a favorable pre-employment physical, including physical lifting requirements.
• Ability to obtain, maintain, and provide evidence of current immunizations, including annual influenza vaccinations, and be free of communicable diseases.
• Completion of assigned training, including Food Handlers certification, within the specified time from date of hire or assignment.

To qualify, you must meet the experience requirements below. Experience includes paid, unpaid, and volunteer work through programs like Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, or other organizations. Your resume must clearly describe relevant experience; transcripts are required if qualifying based on education.

Qualifying Experience: ALL LEVELS

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent; proof required.

AND

BASIC REQUIREMENT: Must be at least 18 years old, fluent in English, able to pass physical and immunization requirements, lift 40 lbs or more, stand for long periods, obtain Food Handler's Certificate, pass criminal background checks, and possess good judgment. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required if transportation of children is involved.

SPECIALIZED REQUIREMENT: One year at the CY03 level or equivalent, with an Associate of Arts degree in early childhood education, youth development, or related fields, or a current Child Development Associate credential or Youth Development credential.
